10 Twenty-First Century Ways to Wreck a Relationship

You would think that it would be easy to maintain a relationship and that everyone would be on the same page. This is not the case when you are dating and it is important to understand that you can easily wreck a relationship just by not thinking.

We live in a society where people are very busy and they don't take a lot of time to do things. A relationship takes time, no matter when it starts. It is something that you have to constantly nurture or you will never recover when it fails.

To help you understand how this can happen, here are 10 ways to wreck your relationship:

1. Answer your cell phone on a date and continue to talk for the next 20 minutes while your date is sitting there. This is just downright rude and he probably won't go out with you again.

2. Leave a very long needy message on his answering machine asking him why he didn't call and how upset you are about it. Men do not like needy and in fact, they tend to run from it.

3. Go to his house for the first time and start rearranging things or straightening up. This is a rude thing to do especially when you first go to his house. This implies that he is messy and it lets him know that you don't approve of his décor.

4. When you know he is busy working on project, IM him in the middle of it to tell him you like him. This is grounds for ignoring your for awhile because you interrupt his work.

5. Send him an old email that you like to send your dates that has someone else's name in the cc on it. If you recycle emails, make sure to cut and paste them instead.

6. Get upset with him while the two of you are talking on the phone and he has to take another call. You are not the only person he knows, and it is not a good idea to be so possessive.

7. When the two of you are IMing (instant messaging) each other, talk about how you used to spend hours IMing another guy.

8. Bombard his cell phone with cutesy text messages that take up time to answer. He will probably ignore them.

9. Give him your cell phone number but never answer it when he calls.

10. When he doesn’t immediately answer your email, send him one every hour asking him why he is not answering it.

Men do not like to be with an insecure woman and they do not like to constantly be quested about what they do or do not do. They like to believe that they are free wheeling and they do not have to answer to anyone.

When you start trying to make them make more of a commitment than they are willing to do, you can create problems for your relationships. In other words, you become a pain instead of someone they want to see on a continuous basis.
