Online dating can be a lot of fun and you will meet so many different people. Some will become friends online and some even offline and you might even find that one special person.

When you first go online your personal profile is going to be the ad that tells about yourself. This is not the time to tell someone all about you but it is time to say something that will entice them to read your full profile.

Most people will say the first one because it is intriguing and engaging. It makes you want to find out more. When you are looking through a lot of profiles those that are interesting will catch your attention and you will at least look at the first part of what you see.

The next thing you want to do is write a compelling ad. Write something about yourself, your goals and aspirations, but do it in a way that makes people want to get to know you.

Be honest and describe a little about the person that will make the right fit for you and make it fun. Although you may be a serious person your profile should show your personality. If you are a shy person, have a friend help you put an ad together that shares some of the qualities that your friend sees in you.

Your profile should be a little like flirting but not so much that you get yourself in trouble. Write it like you are telling a story not like you are giving a report. Also, no one really wants to hear about failed relationships they would rather know about you and how you see the world.

Bring your readers into your story. Make them understand a little about you by creating a little mystery about yourself. Always think creative, creative, creative. Think also about the types of ads you read and why they interest you. These are the types of ads you should write.

You should also use a picture of yourself. This can be a touchy subject because many people do not want someone to see them for fear they will not like them. The point is, whether you think you are too fat, too thin, or if you have a big wart on the tip of your nose, someone will just love that about you.

A picture lets people know that you are real and it gives them some indication about the type of person you are and whether they will want to spend time with you.

You profile is the most important aspect of your online dating experience and you should update it once in awhile to keep it fresh and available. You should change it at least every two weeks.
